"Recently underwent ProLEP (ProTouch Laser Enucleation of the Prostate) procedure for enlarged prostate. Urology of Virginia, Dr. Prilliman (surgeon) and Sentara Virginia Beach General were all top notch. Dealing with Urology of Virginia can be a bit challenging due to the large volume of patients, but my experience has been great for the most part."

"I've had no issue with the care I have received however nobody at urology of Virginia answers the telephone, nobody! They ask that you text them or request a call back. I prefer to speak to a real person. Had I known this prior to getting involved with them I probably would have selected a different urologist and, I'm actually considering the same now."

"I had kidney stones backing up my kidney as I could no longer pass fluid. Went into the ER @ Virginia Beach General. Urology of Virginia, specifically Alexander Birk, MD was the surgeon who operated the following morning. Had 2 different biopsies, a cystoscopy, and last week (4/10/2026) had a ProLEP (ProTouch Laser Enucleation of the Prostate) procedure. "Out to just take your money! First time patient ever, I had to cancel my appointment one day prior. The reason being sent their was inaccurate so I need to call my doctor. Was charged $75 for canceling my appointappointment to early? It requires 48hrs apparently but they neglected to let me know and more than likely all their new patients I am pretty sure alot more victims out there. They are thieves ..."

"Horrible service!!! The staff, PA's, Nurses are all terrible. They have no sense of care and are very unprofessional. I get texts back that it will take 48-72 hours for them to reply. They are indignent and have no sense of personal relations. I hate going there because they don't care enough to make these things better.."

"After a four month long wait, I actually got to see a Nurse Practitioner in person, after a 90 minute wait. My appointment with her was hands down the WORST MEDICAL APPOINTMENT I’VE EVER HAD. "Wait times are terrible. Appointment times are not followed. Calling is impossible. Doctors notes are insufficient at best. Surgery scheduling is not a couple of days but weeks behind. Their web site chat is a terrible loop of the same questions with no actual answers.
