"I had a bronchoscopy, and I am unaware that this service was used. I was assured that Medical City Dallas that took my Humana PPO health insurance. Five months later, I received a text stating that I owed fees. After checking with Humana, I find that this provider is not in network. MCD is misleading if it does not stand for Medical City Dallas."

"Received message from debt collector regardless of the fact my insurance has paid their contractual arrangement. I had 14 surgeries at Medical City of Dallas from 2024 through 2025 and insurance paid out $1.6 million. So, yes, MCD Pathology got what was guaranteed under the contract with blue cross blue shield."

"Like the others, I never received a bill - just a collections letter. Sending your patients to collections without even attempting to bill them is highly unprofessional. I guess because it's a "faceless" interaction (pathology report being read without actual interaction with the patient), they decided humans are not worth treating with decency. I will avoid using this service if at all possible ..."

A new Texas law requires health care providers to send an itemized bill before the account can be sent to collections. "Absolutely appalling behavior. Though they claim they sent out an invoice, like the other reviewers here, I first found out I owed them money from a debt collector. The person I talked to in their billing department was condescending when I attempted to validate the debt. Avoid MCD Pathology like the plague."

I tried to see my account online, but it only allows for payment....it will not pull up an account, so you can't even see how much you owe, but you are magically supposed to know how much to pay.
