"I was only receiving 5 minute telemedicine phone calls at DHMC endocrinology for years. Each of these useless visits was billed $700+. My blood sugar was routinely extremely high but my doctor claimed I was not diabetic. Since COVID my care consisted of once yearly 5 minute telemedicine calls. My glucose was swinging to life threatening levels for years under DHMC care. "Very bad experience with this department. They ignored my symptoms and misdiagnosed me for years. All appointments the last several years were 5 minute telemedicine visits where the audio and video didn’t work, tests were not ordered, results were not reviewed, prescriptions were not called in, etc. For this useless “visit” they bill $600-$700+.
