"I arrived a few minutes before my appointment and there were 2 people at the desk. Nobody greeted me. How hard is it to offer a warm, friendly hello to a patient that walks through your door?! I identified myself and said I was here for my appointment. I've been coming to your office for 20 years, yet there was no sense of familiarity from your office staff."

"Blende Dental has really well trained, friendly dentists and hygenists. There's no reason they shouldn't be up in the 4- to 5-star category except that they aren't very organized ... you often have to wait a while for your appointment to start, or even for someone to show up at the front desk, even if you are on time. And their billing procedures seem to need work--they have trouble getting insurance ..."

"Dental work was great. Didnt appreciate the front desk including a $400 charge for something I didn't have done or trying to up sell me $1800 worth of fillings in the middle of my procedure. In addition, they made me pay $3200 up front which is not normal from my experience."

"Experience was a little bizarre. I was not totally queued in on what was going on, like the consultation room piece. Seemed like I got a DA in trouble because she thought from my paperwork I had a severe fear of pain or dentists- I don't blame her but Dr. B seemed upset (I explained I was not, etc.) And this conversation was going on in front of me. "My first impression was that I was well taken care of - everyone was extremely nice and professional. I was taken on an emergency basis which I really appreciated and the doctor thoroughly discussed his findings with me. "My mom, Rhoda, is 88. We went to Dr. Blende to correct some discomfort lingering from earlier work by another dentist. She felt food was sticking under new crowns, and two teeth were clicking uncomfortably. Dr. Blende suggested five new crowns for a total cost of about $10,000. "I used to get a more thorough check by a doctor after my annual cleaning, whereby he/she would check gaps between my teeth & look at state of my filling, gum, enamel, etc. Don't get that anymore. Would like to get it back as I felt I received more preventative advice."

"I was not prepared to have a visit with Dr. Blende. I thought it was just a cleaning. So when the bill jumped to almost $300 I was horrified. Then Dr. Blende remarked that I thought that they were just too expensive. Not really, I just would hsve liked a heads up before getting charged for more than a cleaning. Fair enough."

"1) The coordinator, in her written email instructions, gave us the wrong address for the hospital to go to for surgery,. Getting lost the morning of surgery at 5 am and having to frantically call the hospital trying to figure out where to go at the last minute caused unnecessary anxiety for an already anxious patient."

"I believe Dr Blende is a leader in his field and specialty, but has not ensured it's reflected in his office staff. The front office has a rotating sea of faces and the current office manager's demeanor feels hostile and unprofessional.
