She would not process my sisters Medicare Advantage insurance and insisted that she pay $100 for the service. I attempted to speak with the receptionist to no avail. So, near the end of my initial consultation with the doctor who would be performing my procedure, I made sure he understood that I was uninsured, and needed to know the cost of the procedure. Very quickly, he stated $1200, but if we have to send something for biopsy, that will be around $200. When I asked if $1200 really covered everything, he assured me it did, and not to worry because ..."
