"Took my husband to the ER complaining of shortness of breath, numbness in his shoulders and racing heart rate. ER was fairly thorough in their examination, running blood tests, chest x-ray, EKG, chest MRI. His blood sugar was highly elevated (over 600) and A1C was 12.7 (extremely high). He was admitted onto the 9th floor (PCU). That's where it all went south. Nursing staff was great! Floor hospital ..."
