Empowering people to assert control over their own mental health is my true passion. Helping patients believe in themselves, become more attuned to their thoughts, and utilize mind over mood provides me enormous gratification. I graduated from the Graduate Center of the City University of New York with a PhD in Clinical Neuropsychology and have conducted and published research examining the cognitive profiles, dimensions of parenting, and developmental trajectories of preschoolers with ADHD. Over the years, I have been fortunate to work with individuals across the developmental spectrum with a variety of needs; from young children to elderly populations, from depression to anxiety to stress management to relationship issues to acceptance and/or adjustment of functional and/or cognitive declines. I have worked within both healthcare facilities and telemedicine platforms, and am privileged to be multilingual (English, Hindi, and Bengali) and multicultural; these assets help me relate to others to facilitate a healthy perspective of themselves and strengthen their relationships with their loved ones. I understand that no one technique is appropriate for every individual, so I prefer an eclectic approach to provide patients with the necessary tools for themselves to improve their lives. ...
