<p><b>Dr. He </b>is an award-winning, board-certified Johns Hopkins and Harvard trained anesthesiologist and interventional pain specialist</p><p>A Texas native, she earned her medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine followed by Anesthesiology residency training at Johns Hopkins. Dr. He further specialized and completed a Pain Fellowship at Harvard’s Brigham and Women’s Hospital, which has been recognized as the Top Pain Management Fellowship in the Nation. Throughout her training, Dr. He has been fortunate to learn from leaders in the field. While at Harvard, she also studied novel treatments to better manage knee pain with the goal of delaying and avoiding surgery.</p><p>Dr. He enjoys meeting with and listening to patients to truly understand their individual circumstances and goals. She works collaboratively with patients to develop custom treatment plans that decrease pain and maximize quality of life. She believes in a comprehensive approach that utilizes evidence-based therapy, medication (with minimal opioids, if at all), and procedures to minimize pain, improve daily function, and improve quality of life.</p><p>Dr. He has expertise in a range of treatment modalities including: spine, joint, and musculoskeletal injections; trigger point injections; injectable neuromodulators (i.e. Botox); regional anesthesia and nerve blocks; nerve ablations; spinal cord and peripheral nerve stimulation; dorsal root ganglion (DRG) stimulation; and minimally-invasive spine surgery/vertebral augmentation. She is trained in multiple imaging modalities including ultrasound and fluoroscopic guidance. She is also skilled in interventional therapies for cancer and palliative care, such as plexus/sympathetic blocks, metastatic spinal tumor ablation, and intrathecal pumps.</p><p>Dr. He has a special interest in spinal cord stimulation and was among the first fellows to be certified for DRG stimulation. She offers the most advanced techniques in spinal cord stimulation and considers it an excellent, minimally-invasive alternative for select patients.</p><p><i>The best part of her job is forming lasting relationships with patients and seeing them return to activities they love.
