"DOCTOR:
I scheduled an appointment through Teladoc because I had a bloodshot eye. I was connected to “Doctor” William Zeller who right away asked if I had a history of glaucoma in my family, I said no. I tried to explain that I had put some old contacts in that must have had something on it (I had gone swimming with them in prior – bad idea) he disregarded anything I tried to say and told me I had Acute Glaucoma and needed to get to an emergency professional right away. I again tried saying it was just something from my contact, some type of bacterial infection most likely that simply require antibiotic eye drops to which he said that isn’t the case because if it was any type of conjunctivitis or bacterial infection it would be in both eyes. Well, that is a blatant lie. I have dealt with family members having pink eye in the past and it effecting only one eye. I said, “If it was something in my contact, it would just effect the eye I put that contact in, right” and he replied “Well ...don’t you wear them in both eyes?” Umm what? Of course I do but if one hadn’t been cleaned properly and had something on it, would the bacteria do a little jig, leap off of that contact and bounce into my other eye?! He then told me that since it had been red since 4pm the day before that it could cause blindness if I don’t get the “Acute Glaucoma” treated immediately. I end the call, realizing he was a nutjob and a few minutes later I receive an email saying that my Visit Summary is available, I click the link and see that “Doctor” Zeller wrote “Episcleritis” in the Diagnosis, not one mention of Acute Glaucoma………. What in the actual… Never once during my call did he ever mention that word. He tried to scare the living daylights out of me by telling me I could go blind from this “Acute Glaucoma” then wrote down Episcleritis which is literally nothing - just a red eye. Talk about a complete 180. I am pretty sure that telling the patient one thing then writing down a completely different thing is medical negligence. If I were gullible and actually believed this whack job, it would be as if he told me I had Covid and needed to get to an ER immediately before further complications were in play, then on my file he just wrote “comon cold”. How is that even possible? Avoid Dr. Zeller and Teledoc at ALL costs! That “Doctor” clearly doesn’t know an eye ball from an asshole. "Read more
