Born and raised on Chicagos north side, Dr. Scurlock attended Northern Illinois University graduating in 1975. He received his medical degree from the University of Illinois in 1979. Dr. Scurlock completed his specialty training in Family Practice at St. Francis Hospital in Peoria, Illinois serving as chief resident June 1981 to July 1982. He is currently board certified by the American Academy of Family Physicians. After residency, Dr. Scurlock became a full-time instructor of Family Medicine at St. Francis Hospital. He joined St. Charles Family Medical Center in 1984 and has been on staff at Delnor-Community Hospital since. He has served as Chairman of the Department of Family Practice. Dr. Scurlock is married with 3 children. He enjoys playing racquetball and has a special interest as an aviation medical examiner.
