"Dr. Sorrill called me in the middle of the night from the hospital to tell me my mother should be listed as DO NOT RESUSCITATE. My mother was not hospitalized with life threatening issues, so this was a complete shock. Further more, he offered no information as to why he strongly recommended listing my mother as DNR. After hours of hell, a nurse tells me my mother is perfectly fine. She doesn't know why I would receive such a call. I found Dr. Sorril's phone call not just to be not just unprofessional, but just plain cruel. These are people in your care, Dr. Sorrill, not just slabs of meat you might have to help."
