OVERVIEW
Weili Sun, MD, Ph.D, is an expert in childhood leukemia/lymphoma. She received her Ph.D degree at the laboratory of Dr. James Downing in St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Pediatric residency training at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and her Pediatric Hematology/Oncology training at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and Weill Cornell Medical College. She serves on the scientific review committee of Therapeutic Advances in Childhood Leukemia and Lymphoma (TACL), a multi-institution consortium focusing on developing phase I /II clinical trials of new drugs and novel drug in recurrent childhood leukemia or lymphoma. She is the study committee member of Childrens Oncology Group AAML1331, a phase III study for patients with newly diagnosed acute promyelocytic leukemia using arsenic trioxide and ATRA. She is the scientific reviewer for SC-CTSI pilot funding review committee at Norris Cancer Center, University of Southern California. She is a …member of the institutional review board of CHLA. research, she is interested in pediatric hematology/oncology education.
