"Beside manner is awful. He was curt, cocky, and careless. Sat in the chair like he had someplace better to be. Never addressed my elderly family member, but spoke to me directly. When I answered his questions, get stared at me with an expressionless look like he could not care less. He needs to be working in an area where he doesn't have to interact with people, because it seems he doesn't like people very much. "

"Terrible bedside manner. Went to the ER after calling teledoc for sudden heart palpitations. The nurses and admissions staff were outstanding, but Dr. Dixon was short, obviously did not want to attend, and made us feel silly for coming to the ER. "

"Went to Sentara Pt Warwick on March 24, 2020 with a tick lodged in the back of my leg. Only the legs were sticking out. Told the doctor the back of my leg burned as the tick had been in there for several days. Told me it was just a dog tick and nothing to worry about. He had to get special tools to remove it because it was in so deep. Have been feeling really bad over the past couple months. Went to my PCP and she tested me for Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever and it came back positive. It stays in your system for a while. I am 67 years old with underlying health conditions! Dr. Dixon should have tested the tick or at the very least, started me on Doxycycline. I am worried this disease has caused neurological and or cardiac forms of illness as I have really been feeling bad. Have to get a series of test done now to see what damage this may have caused me. Very serious and he just downplayed the whole visit. "

Data Transparency and Trust: Understanding WebMD Doctor Listings and Reviews

We know that finding the right doctor or provider is important to your health. That’s why we want to ensure you have confidence in the provider profiles and listings you see on WebMD Care. Our provider data is sourced from the physicians themselves as well as publicly available databases. Any doctor or provider who claims their profile by verifying themselves can update their information and provide additional data on their specialties, education, accepted insurances, conditions they treat, and procedures they perform.

All the physician and provider reviews on WebMD Care are provided by users just like you. Knowing these reviews provide insight into how other patients feel about a doctor, we maintain internal policies and protocols to ensure the quality and accuracy of all reviews. Providers are not able to remove or modify reviews on their own. Reviews can only be removed after an internal review by our customer service team.

We value your input and encourage you to reach out to our support team if you encounter any issues.
