"Dr. Vogel seemed fine – at first. But when I told him I would not do chemotherapy, browbeating, intimidation attempts and coercion began. Looking furious, he spat out, “I HOPE you come to your SENSES and do chemotherapy!” When that didn’t work, he stated he would withhold critical treatment (that I wanted) unless I agreed to chemotherapy. He tried to force me to undergo chemo I did NOT want, and that I have a right to refuse. That is the very definition of coercion. He cut me off each time I tried to speak. His body language, tone and words all appeared to say, “I’ll show YOU!”
Also, his appointment notes were wildly inaccurate and when confronted, he angrily denied it twice, even though it was in writing. He then wrote that his notes “could not be taken literally”. How, then, are a doctor’s notes supposed to be taken? These are the main reasons I fired Dr. Vogel.
If you want someone who will listen and respect your right to choose, Dr. Vogel is not the oncologist for you.
