Dr. Trent Howard, DO

Dr. Howard is a board certified general and thoracic surgeon and is affiliated with Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster. He attended medical school in the inaugural class of DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in Tennessee before moving his family to Iowa where he completed a general surgery residency at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. He completed a cardiothoracic surgery fellowship at the University of Iowa before moving to Birmingham to start a career as a cardiothoracic and vascular surgeon. He is board certified in general and thoracic surgery.
