Tomas Antonini, MD, FACOG is a board certified Ob/Gyn and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Dr. Antonini did his Ob/Gyn residency at The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio and his Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. Dr. Antonini is known for his considerable knowledge and skill and for staying "ahead of the curve" in gynecologic medicine, particularly for incontinence, pelvic floor reconstruction, and minimally invasive techniques.

"After being referred to Dr. Antonini and waiting 6 weeks for an appointment, I finally got in today. He was lovely. Did one test and was told he would need to do 3 more before any treatment and each of them needed to be done on separate days. Due to their scheduling, I would not be able to actually get treatment for another 6 weeks. BECAUSE otherwise, insurance would not cover it! I said I would pay personally and they asked if I would sign a document to that effect. I said 'yes'. I was so excited to actually get this taken care of. But I got a call a few minutes ago saying they are dropping me as a patient and to find someone else. Just don't ask any questions at this place or even approximate challenging their scheduling. BTW, I am a doctor and they decided to continue calling me Ms. XXX, even when I asked to be called by my first name. "

"Dr. Antonini is unprofessional and unethical in his approach to medical care. I was referred to Dr. Antonini specifically for a anorectal manometry. Upon completion of the testing it took several days to get the report and the staff only sent charts, graphs, and numbers stating that my doctor should be able to read this report. Rather than just getting an overview with analysis/diagnosis (normal test/abnormal test) from the physician who conducted the testing. I received confusing, charts, graphs, and numbers which I had to wait almost a week for. They wanted me to basically get on the calendar once again for them to tell me that my report was normal. Even if my referring gastroenterology physician had understanding of the report, a summary stating the overall impression (normal or abnormal) should have been provided. Additionally, I went to a Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy Physician following the results of this testing and the doctor did not understand the chart, graphs, and numbers. ...

"Dishonest and unethical billing department for Dr. Antonini. Be very careful with how they process your bill and pay nothing upfront. We went to them with an insurance preapproved medically necessary procedure, and they would not file it with insurance, because they did not like their contracted rate. We signed nothing that said we were a “cash only” patient. Very disturbing."
