Dr. Peters is a sixth generation Californian having grown up in Manteca, CA. Excelling in sports and academics he earned his Bachelors of Science Degree at the University of California, Davis graduating with honors. He spent a year in France studying at the Dental and Medical School University of Nice. His Doctor of Dental Surgery degree was completed at University of California, Los Angeles. He was then nominated for a Moorehead Fellowship at the University of North Carolina. The fellowship is distinctive in that it is not based on financial need. Its sole purpose is to attract exceptional students to the University of North Carolina, similar in design to a Rhodes Scholarship. His orthodontic residency was completed at the University of North Carolina with a degree in orthodontics and an additional Masters of Science degree in orthodontics.
Dr. Peters is active in many professional organizations: AAO, ADA, PCSO, CAO, CDA, European Orthodontic Society, and the World Federation of Orthodontics.
Dr. Peters is a dedicated father of his two children, Garrett and Devin. He has enthusiastically supported their academic and athletic endeavors including coaching little league.
Dr. Peters spends his time away from the office reading philosophy, traveling and playing golf.
