Dr. Thomas Edward Bat, MD

Thomas Bat, MD serves as the CEO of North Atlanta Primary Care, PC. As the founder of the practice over 25 years ago Dr. Bat is proud of his ongoing service to our community and its patients. NAPC has grown to 5 locations in Alpharetta, Cumming John’s Creek, Sandy Springs and Woodstock offering the most comprehensive primary care in our medical community. He has been recognized as America’s Top Doctor by numerous organizations including Who’s Who of American Physicians. In addition NAPC has been nationally recognized by HIMSS for its use of IT with the Nathan Davies award, by NCQA for being the first multi-site private primary care Patient Centered Medical Home, and by MGMA for Superior Performance. Dr. Bat is originally from Jackson MS where he received his undergraduate degree from the University of MS and his medical degree from the University Medical Center and post graduate training at the University of Tennessee where he served as chief resident. Dr. Bat’s medical interests center on treating the whole patient with special emphasis on comprehensive care and management of chronic medical conditions. He is recognized by Novartis for his work on hypertensive and cardiovascular diseases and by Pfizer for his treatment of tobacco abuse and smoking cessation programs. His personal goals and interest include the evolving use of IT to improve medical care, working as a board member with organized medicine at the AMA, MAG and MAA to create a stronger healthcare system that is patient centric and working with both our state legislatures and US Congress to pass legislations that improves and strengthens the profession of medicine and the health of his patients.
