TENNESSEE PHYSICAL MEDICINE AND PAIN MANAGEMENT

We are interventional pain specialists who also manage pain. Procedures when indicated are used in concert with a comprehensive plan to attain specific patient goals.

Most musculoskeletal pain conditions do not require surgery. A herniated disc is an excellent example of a condition that responds very well to conservative management. Even in the face of a focal radiculopathy (4/5 weakness), conservative care (medication, ESIs and PT), has an 85% success for return to work and athletic endeavors. If surgery is needed we can help make the appropriate referral.

"Dr. Baker and his staff were very kind and he has helped me manage my chronic pain and even realized I had a severe problem with my hip when my orthopedic Dr. didn't. The ortho finally realized my hip replacement was infected and hospitalized me. I highly recommend Dr. Baker."

"I only got to see him a few times doing my 1st few visits. He wasn't like most doctors he took his time and answered every question I had. Let me tell you I had the questions too. I was worried to death about getting "hooked" on this pain pill. When I hurt my neck badly they seen me even tho they weren't suppose to twice in a month. Thank God they did because my regular pain pill wasn't touching the pain I was having. I love Joy she understands the fear I have of becoming addicted to pills and we worked out how much and how long I would be taking the really addictive pain pill. Just long enough for PT to have the pain down to my regular pill pain. I've always been treated very well with respect and I have never left with a question. I'd give Joy 10 stars!"

"Always enjoy going to see Stacy for over 7 years but since she left after the past 2 months. I will never go back there was put on a detoxing medicine with oxycodone needless to say I stayed sick all month I even call to see if I could come in . Was told my appointment next week will talk about it them. Even told up front that my count was off because they was so many times I would throw pills right back up. I'm sorry but I'm not grabbing them out trouble and retake guess that what I was supposed to do. Today I was told they were going to reset my system by detoxing me. I have never felt so embarrassed and made feel like a junkie as I did today. Dr. Baker was naming medicine I have never taking thinking I was on them. A really low dose 0.5 of Clonazepam is not Xanax. Never been talked down to like I was today. Ladies up front always been great. But to leave crying due to how I was treated and spoken to . Giving I'm sure my chart will be marked with something because my husband told Dr.Baker ...
he had always respected him but to detox me thing way was cruel. He told my husband while people in third world country don't get pain medicine. Husband told him this is not a third world country and if he so mighty why does he own a pain management and he could blank his self . So no would not recommend he will have you on morphine and fentanyl together and give you spinal injections while atleast till he hits something in spine and after that my back is been pushed to far . So wish me luck "

Data Transparency and Trust: Understanding WebMD Doctor Listings and Reviews

We know that finding the right doctor or provider is important to your health. That’s why we want to ensure you have confidence in the provider profiles and listings you see on WebMD Care. Our provider data is sourced from the physicians themselves as well as publicly available databases. Any doctor or provider who claims their profile by verifying themselves can update their information and provide additional data on their specialties, education, accepted insurances, conditions they treat, and procedures they perform.

All the physician and provider reviews on WebMD Care are provided by users just like you. Knowing these reviews provide insight into how other patients feel about a doctor, we maintain internal policies and protocols to ensure the quality and accuracy of all reviews. Providers are not able to remove or modify reviews on their own. Reviews can only be removed after an internal review by our customer service team.

We value your input and encourage you to reach out to our support team if you encounter any issues.
