"Please, if you value your sanity, and health, go elsewhere. My initial visit was wonderful. Dr. Johnson was a new physician. They set me up with her when I moved here, and she seemed very thorough, listened to my concerns, and ran some tests she deemed necessary. I haven’t been to a doctor in 10 years, being a working Mother and a caretaker for my elderly father, not much time was left for me. That was where the professionalism ended. I had to call multiple times to get the results of my bloodwork. She had concerns about my blood sugars and liver. She put me on one medication, then that somehow ended up three that all did the same thing. I called to ask which one I should be taking. After receiving no response for days, I did my research and chose one. They called me a week later to tell me which one to take. I called to have my prescription refilled. And I called again. And again. And finally I went down there, and it got taken care of. I did a sleep study. I called the ...
following week for the results. And again. And again. And again. And then I got a voicemail about a pending prescription in regards to that, but had no information as to what it was even for. So I called again. Two weeks later, I went down to the office AGAIN. And my script was due to be refilled AGAIN. And I sat in the waiting room for an hour to be told her and her nurse were “busy” and they would get to me “when they had time”. It wasn’t the receptionist fault by any means but what do you mean? How is waiting two weeks for a simple call back remotely acceptable? I left, defeated. And still, there was no call. My medication runs out on Sunday. I work 10 hours a day. What do I do then? I understand they are busy, and value their time, but I value mine as well. I am sick and tired of being sick and tired. I am tired of spending hours chasing basic patient care. I am tired of the condescending manner that she talks to me in (well, the one call I have received in the last two months). I don’t even know what else to do at this point. Please if you are considering Carolina East, find anywhere else. Update: After emailing half of the board of directors, I was able to get a response from the doctor, 17 days after I initially started trying to make contact. But, unfortunately, as usual, Walgreens is out of my prescription and I’ll have to wait 4 additional days to get it filled, bringing me to almost a week with no medication. Second Update- Medication refills that were sent to Walgreens were corrupt. Then, she dropped me as a patient for what I can only assume to be contacting the board due to her lack of communication. I now have no doctor and no medication. "
