Dr. S. Balachandran joined the AMH staff in 1995, specializing in General Surgery. He attended medical school at the University of Ceylon in Sri Lanka (1962-67) his Internship at Jamaica Hospital in Jamaica, N.Y. (1969-70) and his residency was served at the Jewish Hospital of Brooklyn (1970-71). His post-doctoral fellowship was spent with Dr. Michael DeBakey at Methodist Hospital in Houston. Dr. Balachandran is board certified in surgery.
