"Receptionist is rude and as far as i am concerned does not follow the advice of the doctor. I went to the doctor a few years back. i was in pain from Hemorrhoids but could not get an appointment for I think it was a week or two later. When I finally got in to see the doctor my problem was gone. The doctor then told me that the next time it happened come and see him immediately. Now a couple years later (August 24,2022) i needed to see him for the same problem. Called the office and receptionist said I could not see him till October at which time my problems hopefully will be cleared up by then. Wish the doctor and the receptionist would get on same page. If i were the doctor, i would not have a receptionist like her working for me"

"Dr Lowry is a wonderful surgeon and I have nothing but great things to say about him. I had been in excruciating pain for almost 3 years and Dr Lowry sent me for testing and got me quickly scheduled for surgery and diagnosis. However the woman at the front desk is the most unpleasant and rude receptionist I have ever come across in my life. During my follow up appointment after surgery I called ahead and said I was running 10 minutes late due to childcare issues. She huffed and snarled on the phone, "So you're not in the parking lot?" And told me I was just supposed to call when I was in the parking lot. When I arrived 8 minutes later, I called from the parking lot (due to covid and protocol) and said I was outside. She gave me a huge attitude and told me she wasn't sure if I could be seen because I was late, they were very busy, and they will TRY to get me in. I've worked in a doctor's office before so I am very understanding of the circumstances and was willing to wait. She came outside ...
a few minutes later and was screaming my name. To which I rolled down my window and announced I was here. I saw her approach 3 cars, but she skipped mine. I was getting ready to get out of my car, gathering my things, all while still trying to get her attention through the window, when she loudly told the car right next to me that I missed my appointment and "OH WELL!" As I turned off my car and got out, she stormed back inside. Another woman came out looking for me at which point she brought me inside into the first waiting room. The door into the second waiting room was open and I could hear the first rude receptionist talking about me to the second receptionist about how I shouldn't be seen because I missed my appointment, and continued to go on about me while I was standing right there. I continued with my appointment, made a complaint to the Dr and went on my way, hoping to never have to deal with this woman ever again. It's been I guess two or three months and I got an automated call reminding me of my second follow up appointment and gave me the option to 1. Confirm 2. Reschedule or 3. Cancel. I feel great and honestly didn't want to deal with this horrible patient etiquette again so I chose the prompt to cancel and the system reported back that my appointment was officially cancelled. Flash forward to today, I get a call from this horrible receptionist once again saying I missed my appointment. I said I got a call from the automated system and it gave me the option to cancel, so I cancelled. She said they don't have an automated system and the hospital was to charge me $25 for the missed appointment. I repeated back to her that I did recieve a call and I did in fact cancel days in advance. So now let's see if I get charged for this visit and if I do, I'll be calling back again to directly speak to the Dr and once again file a complaint against this woman. She should not be working there. This is not how you treat patients. I've also been at the office at a time I was waiting in the waiting room and an older gentleman was checking out and as he was leaving he thought she had addressed him so he turned around and said "I'm sorry?" And she replied, "I wasn't talking to you!" Dr Lowry should be aware of how HIS patients are being treated and that is the reason for this review. I've never written these kinds of reviews before but she is the worst thing about that office and should be replaced immediately in my opinion. So overall, Dr Lowry is great, but you have to go through her if you want to be seen so this is just a fair warning. "
