Stephen W. Peterson, D.D.S., M.S.
Dr. Stephen W. Peterson attended Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, later moving to Indianapolis to complete his Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Biology from Purdue University. After only three years of undergraduate study, Steve was one of 12, third year students accepted into the Indiana University School of Dentistry’s program. After graduation, Steve moved to Chicago where he was one of six students out of 75 applicants, to be accepted into the University of Illinois at Chicago’s Orthodontic residency program, graduating in 1984 with a Masters of Science degree.
Steve moved to Ludington, MI in 1984 to begin his private practice, opening
his satellite office in Manistee in 1985. He has practiced in both lakeside
communities ever since. He is married and has raised six children while maintaining
his focus of creating beautiful smiles and retaining a great sense of humor.
He is a true Hoosier basketball fan at heart, continuing to root for his beloved
hometown Pilgrims of Plymouth, Indiana. Steve has however, embraced Michigan
sports, converting to a Detroit Piston fan.
Steve is a history buff with a special interest in architectural history having enjoyed renovating an old historic home in Manistee with this wife, Cindy, where they currently reside.
