Dr. Stephen James Cortez, MD

Dr Cortez completed his medical school training in 1989 from Tufts University Medical School in Boston, MA. He then completed his residency training in 1993 at Georgetown University Medical Center in Obstectrics and Gynecology and is board certified in Obstectrics and Gynecology by the American Board of Obstectrics and Gynecology. He was recruited by Dr. Pamela Carbiener in 1995, who he came to know while training at Georgetown as fellow residents. Dr. Cortez is trained in advanced laparoscopic surgery and robotic surgery on the Da Vinci system at Halifax Hospital.
