OVERVIEW
Dr. Stephanie McMillen is an optometrist dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of binocular vision and learning-related visual disorders. She is originally from Florida and received her Bachelor of Science degree from Florida State University. She attended Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN, and completed a post-graduate residency there in Pediatric Optometry and Vision Therapy Rehabilitation. Through this program she chose to concentrate her clinical care in developmental optometry and vision therapy. She treats a variety of vision related problems such as amblyopia, strabismus, learning-related visual disorders, and reduced visual functioning secondary to traumatic brain injury. She has experience caring for visual disorders in populations with special needs clinically, and through her volunteer work with Special Olympics Opening Eyes and mission trips oversees. Dr. McMillen is currently licensed in the state of Tennessee. She is a member of the College of Optometrists …in Vision Development, the Optometric Extension Program Foundation, the American Academy of Optometry, the Tennessee Association of Optometric Physicians, and the American Optometric Association.
