Dr. Sherilyn Smith, MD

Sherilyn Smith, MD: Associate Professor of Pediatric Infectious Diseases. Dr. Smith’s interests are in medical education, teaching and curriculum development. She is currently the Director of the Infectious Disease Fellowship. Her primary responsibilities are curriculum development for the fellowship, coordination of teaching activities of infectious disease fellows, general mentoring of fellows, monitoring programmatic compliance with requirements necessary for board certification in Pediatric Infectious Disease, and implementing all requirements for continued certification of the fellowship program by the ACGME (Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education). She works closely with the Research Director and Training Grant Principle Investigator (Dr. Frenkel) to coordinate all aspects of the training of our fellows.
