Dr. Sharhonda K. Washingtonscott

Dr. Sharhonda Washington-Lewis graduated from Xavier University in New Orleans, Louisiana where she earned a bachelors degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree from Meharry Medical College, School of Dentistry, which is located in Nashville, Tennessee. During her matriculation in dental school, she was awarded multiple awards and honors, which include Who's Who Among American Colleges and Universities and Dean's List awards. Dr. Washington-Lewis earned a certificate in General Practice from the Veterans Administration Hospital located in Houston, Texas. She attended this institution during 2000-2001 as a General Practice Resident. The benefits of attending such a program has given her an increased understanding of how to treat medically compromised and disabled patients. Dr. Washington-Lewis is licensed to practice dentistry in the state of Texas. She also holds licensure to administer conscious sedation, nitrous oxide …("laughing gas") and enteral (oral) sedation. She is a member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, Greater Houston Dental Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Washington-Lewis is a native Houstonian, wife, and the mother of two young sons. In addition to practicing dentistry, she enjoys music, dancing, church activities and spending time with her family. Dr. Washington-Lewis's mission statement is to be allowed the opportunity of providing quality dental care at an affordable price. Her ultimate goal is to service the needs of the community.
