Scott D Pelok, DDS
Dr Pelok graduated form the Ohio State University School of Dentistry in 1994. He then completed a one-year residency in Advanced Education for General Dentistry at the University of Michigan in 1995 where he also completed his requirements for conscious (IV) sedation. He also has a master degree in anatomy from Bowling Green State University where he met his wife, Geri, to whom he has been married for 25 years.
After a brief period in private practice, Dr Pelok returned to the University of Michigan where he taught oral surgery and CEREC techniques in the same department in which he received his residency, AEGD. At that time, he was also in charge of the undergraduate implant course and the international dental courses. While at the University of Michigan, Dr Pelok won the Smithsonian ComputerWorld Award in 2002 for development of new technologies for educating dental anatomy. During his tenure at the University, he wrote many articles and presented at a multitude of meetings on technology in dentistry and utilization of CEREC in the dental office. After teaching for eight years, Dr Pelok decided to return to private practice by replacing Dr. Janice Pilon in Flint, Michigan.
Flint Dentist Receives 2011 Fellowship Award from
the Academy of General Dentistry
CHICAGO (August 9th, 2011)—The Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), a professional association of more than 37,000 general dentists dedicated to staying up to date in the profession through continuing education to better serve the public, is pleased to announce that Dr. Scott David Pelok DDS, MS, FAGD, of Flint, Michigan, received the association’s 2011 Fellowship award during the AGD 2011 Annual Meeting & Exhibits, held July 28 to 31 in San Diego, Calif.
The Fellowship award is presented to dentists who seek to provide the highest quality of dental care by remaining current in their profession. To accomplish this goal, Dr. Pelok completed 500 hours of continuing dental education, passed a comprehensive exam and fulfilled three years of continuous membership in the AGD.
As a recipient of the Fellowship award, Dr. Pelok joins more than 7,000 active AGD Fellows who understand that providing great smiles and good oral health for their patients are the result of going above and beyond basic requirements.

Dr. Pelok graduated from The Ohio State College of Dentistry in 1994. He then completed a residency program in Advanced Education in General Dentistry from the University of Michigan, School of Dentistry in 1995. After teaching in that same program for ten years, Dr Pelok left to return to private practice and is currently practicing dentistry in Flint, MI. In addition to the AGD, Dr. Pelok is a member of the Michigan Dental Association, American Dental Association, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and the American Society of Dental Anesthesiology.
