OVERVIEW

Our office setup is unique in that the two physicians are a father and son family. Dr. Stuart Goldsmith first established his practice in 1979 in Brandon and has been specializing in total joint replacement and general orthopaedics since that time. Dr. Scott Goldsmith, his son, joined him in partnership in 2008 and specializes in total joint replacement, treatment of sports injuries and general orthopaedic surgery. Both doctors are on the staff at Brandon Regional Hospital and South Florida Baptist Hospital in Plant City. Orthopaedic Medical Group treats a multitude of musculoskeletal problems, including fractures, arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome and sports injuries. We evaluate all areas of the body, including hips, knees, shoulders, wrists, hands and ankles. Our physicians will detail a treatment plan that is unique to your pain or injury. "If there was a way to give a negative star I would. This is the worst, most arrogant, belittling Dr I've ever met. If you rely on any form of pain meds, don't bother with this Dr. His treatment for pain after surgery is ibuprofen and Tylenol! I didn't meet this so called surgeon until a few days before surgery was scheduled. I had met his PA and therapist several times but not him. And when I did it was to let me know he refused to do my surgery because of my pain meds! When I tried to explain that my Pain MGMT would take care of recovery, he literally told he couldn't care less about my PM Dr and he was concerned about his reputation. If you want a shot for pain in your, by ALL means, go to him. If you need surgery, there are several other surgeons that care about their patients, after all, that's what gives them a reputation."

"All I can say is wow ! I came to him Barely able to walk, I had no idea I had hip issues. He did a double hip replacement on me in the last month.(3 weeks apart) After surgery I felt like I could run a marathon ( i didn’t because it was after surgery) ?? he did an amazing job I recommend him to anybody! I was back to work within one week of the surgery. Thank you Dr. Goldsmith. "
