"I am not a patient of this doctor, and that is entirely the point of this review. This doctor also works as a consultant for Cigna. Despite being a general family medicine practitioner unqualified to treat my condition, she deemed a life-saving medication that was prescribed to me by my own doctor, a pulmonologist who specializes in the rare genetic condition affecting me, is medically unnecessary. Let me repeat that: Dr Jacob, who is not my doctor and who has never met me, denied me coverage of my life-saving medication THAT WAS PRESCRIBED BY MY OWN SPECIALIST AND THAT I HAVE BEEN TAKING FOR OVER 18 MONTHS so she could justify her paycheck as a consultant for Cigna. Doctors who care about patients do not do such things; it is corrupt, cynical, and self-serving. So if you are (or are considering) becoming this person’s patient, you should take this wholly unethical behavior into account.
