"Amazing ! She has worked with us and our son for a couple years and we had surgery today- she has always been open and honest about what needs to be done and what we need to do- she prepared us for his surgery and afterwards explained in depth what happened and what to expect - I’m thankful to have her as our sons doctor"

"Very upset with treatment of 4yr old granddaughter and daughter-in-law law! I have been a patient here for over 35 years and am embarrassed by the treatment they received yesterday. She was so upset after waiting over 1 1/2 hours she walked out! Dr Brown shown a flashlight in her eye and said’she needs glasses and walked out … no discussion no options… and this even before drops took effect. They do not deserve a bill… but a letter of apology! She. Is taking her to England for proper treatment. I am again embarrassed by your actions and your uncaring attitude."

"Came in with an attitude. No introduction no bedside manner, very rushed. I don’t recommend and won’t see her again. "

"In my opinion "Dr" Brown is the worst ophthalmologist I have EVER seen. She is RUDE, she is OBNOXIOUS and she thinks she's the smartest person to have ever lived. Who cares what I the patient wants or needs, right? It's all about pulling as much money out of every appointment. How is she in practice if she is so vile? I will NEVER see her again!"

"Condescending, abrupt, seems to make her mind up before even examining the patient. Dismissive of parent opinion, asks leading questions only to sugges she's right and you're wrong. Absolutely bogus "diagnosis" of screen fatigue in a child with neurological symptoms and sudden onset blurred vision without relief for 5 days. Do you really think she's been looking at a screen too long when she can't even read it? Just absurd. Scares my kid, we've been twice and had similar experience both times, so that's the end of trying to get a decent exam out of Dr. Brown. "

"Very professional, listened, a great communicator, curious and asked all the right questions. Pleased with our outcome and will see her again as a first choice. "

"I’d give ZERO stars…Absolutely no bedside manners, felt like she couldn’t wait to get us out of there and rushed to get her next dollar sign in another room.. would definitely not recommend for pediatric patients as she seems to have no personality, patience, or interest in dealing with people. "

"Dr Brown was outstanding! I'd give her 6 stars if I could. Very professional, knowledgeable and understanding. She listens well and explains everything fully and thoroughly. "

"I found Dr. Brown to be very knowledgeable. I had been having problems for several years I went to 4 different eye dr and all of them told me it was part of getting older. The problem continued to get worse. Dr. Brown found the problem within 5 minutes in her office. I had surgery to fix the problem and my vision is almost perfect. She listened and answered all of my questions. "

"Had been taking my daughter here for years. In the past, she was always very understanding of my daughters sensory and anxiety issues. She always approached her very slowly. We put off making an appointment this last year but my daughter can no longer see out of her glasses so could not put it off anymore. We went through great lengths to find a mask my daughter could wear without freaking out over. When we go in, we are singled out and told we need to wear 2 masks. They did not make anyone else wear 2 masks. They did not care that I was already struggling to breathe or that my daughter has mental health issues. They did not care that my daughter could no longer see out of her glasses. All they cared about was that they didn’t like our masks that covered more then the ones they were wearing by 3x over. They were rude and dismissive. We will never go back and do not recommend anyone going here. "

"Awful disposition. Rude. The staff was nice . Dr Brown is mean & hateful. "

"I went to her as a referral from Social Security. She came in gave a 3 minute exam without taking any pictures of the back of the eye and wrote down my condition was nonorganic. In fact, she ordered the test after her examination and her unfounded claim the problem was factitious, or malingering, a diagnosis that was not backed by tests and could not be because the test were taken after the exam. What makes this even more disturbing is that the doctor and her attending nurse were both told I was treated with high doses of prednisone a week before due to another bout of optic neuritis. My doctor a Neurological -ophthalmologist In Chapel Hill Kittner Eye Center identified the optic neuritis condition and the need for Prendisone high dose infusion of 2500 mg for three days. Even more confounding is the fact that Social Security sent my to a previous doctor who conducted the back of eye test prior to the exam and said I had significant damage behind both eyes. Both doctors had found ...
organic reasons for my vision loss. Perhaps if she had done the tests prior to the exam Dr. Brown too would have found organic causation for my declining vision. I believe she writes down nonorganic for all patients that come to her for medical assessment through social security as she has no specific knowledge to neurological problems that affect the eye, nor does her scope of knowledge or treatment on her website included optic neuritis or the ability to identify or treat the condition accordingly... "I felt that she was very rushed, and that her main goal was to get us out as quickly as possible. She did not even take the time to so much as introduce herself or say hello to me. Nor did she really go over everything after the exam. I would never go see her again. I am very disappointed. "

"I highly recommend Dr.Brown. She does a thorough examination and educates her patients along the way. Two thumbs up!"

Data Transparency and Trust: Understanding WebMD Doctor Listings and Reviews

We know that finding the right doctor or provider is important to your health. That’s why we want to ensure you have confidence in the provider profiles and listings you see on WebMD Care. Our provider data is sourced from the physicians themselves as well as publicly available databases. Any doctor or provider who claims their profile by verifying themselves can update their information and provide additional data on their specialties, education, accepted insurances, conditions they treat, and procedures they perform.

All the physician and provider reviews on WebMD Care are provided by users just like you. Knowing these reviews provide insight into how other patients feel about a doctor, we maintain internal policies and protocols to ensure the quality and accuracy of all reviews. Providers are not able to remove or modify reviews on their own. Reviews can only be removed after an internal review by our customer service team.

We value your input and encourage you to reach out to our support team if you encounter any issues.
