Sally Sultan, MD, is an Instructor in Neurology at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City. Dr. Sultan received her undergraduate degree from Columbia University. After receiving her medical degree in 2004 from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, she trained in pediatrics at Jacobi Medical Center in New York, and in child neurology at Columbia University Medical Center. Following residency, she completed a clinical fellowship in pediatric stroke at the Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia. She completed her master's degree in epidemiology at the Columbia University School of Public Health in 2013, as well as neuro-epidemiology fellowship training in cerebrovascular diseases, working with Drs. Mitchell Elkind and Elan Louis. Dr. Sultan is a co-investigator in the Internal Pediatric Stroke Study (IPSS) and the Thrombolysis in Pediatric Stroke (TIPS) study. She is also engaged in research on risk factors for childhood stroke. Her clinical area of …expertise is childhood stroke and blood vessel disorders. She is a member of the American Heart Association, the American Academy of Neurology, and the Child Neurology Society.
