"He really cares! I feel well taken care of by him and his staff. I was lucky to have found him."

"Briefly In the ER, I was told by Dr. Bokhari that if I did not receive a pacemaker immediately I would die. I told him that I was moving large boulders in the heat and had suffered heat stroke. He never offered any options to a pacemaker or considered heat stroke or dehydration as a possible cause. Operative Notes contain numerous errors including no mention of my statements regarding heat stroke or dehydration. No test had been or were conducted prior to the procedure. In recovery, a hospital staff cardiologist came to check on me. He said, I think he did the right thing. Really, you think he did the right thing??? On the first (and last) office visit, Dr Bokhari refused to answer any of my questions. He was very rude and condescending. He spent about 4 minutes with me. I asked him about the possibility of removing the pacemaker. A valid question. He got out of his chair and on the way out of the room said, It's yours for life, learn to deal with it. Before leaving the hospital and ...
during this visit I told medical staff that the pacemaker was set to high, 60bpm, my resting pulse is in the 50s. Their answer, we will adjust it latter (six months latter). I visited an elecrtophysiologist in Phoenix. He listened to me and the circumstances leading up to my visit to the ER. He said that it might have been severe dehydration. He suggested two courses of action. We agreed to set the pacemaker to 30bpm, and see how I did over the next three months. Despite Dr Bokhari warnings of eminent death, I'm fine. I am scheduled to have the pacemaker removed. "

"My orthopedic surgeon referred me to be cleared for surgery. I figured I'd have an EKG and the doctor would take my history and then that would be it. But no, they want to do every test they have in their arsenal. So after the EKG they scheduled 3 more separate visits; one for echo, one for a stress test and finally to actually see the man himself. That was supposed to happen two days ago. I was taken back at my appointment time by a nurse who took my vitals. After 40 minutes waiting in the treatment room I overheard the staff saying that the doctor wasn't there (and other stuff I shouldn't have heard that violated the privacy of other patients). I take privacy seriously. I also take honesty and professionalism seriously as a person who worked for surgeons for 42 years. When I asked why I was there if the doctor wasn't I was told he'd be there soon but they couldn't tell me when. I left. I don't think I was unreasonable or impatient. Evidently they do because when I called back to be rescheduled ...
they told me there was nothing until mid April (1 1/2 months from now). I'm in terrible agony and need to have this surgery. I live out of town so a trip to the doctors takes about an hour round trip. I think it's rude for a doctor to fill up a waiting room before he even shows up. I've seen this before. These are narcissists who believe only they are important and their patients are inferior. They won't wait for anyone but they have no problem having others wait for them. Unfortunately this is typical in Kingman Arizona. If you can see a doctor at all it's usually someone who has failed somewhere else or thrives on having a captive population of patients without choice. Most doctors here were trained outside the US which doesn't necessarily mean they are bad. Dr. Bokhari might be great. He might be competent. But his practice is unprofessional and seems like they're only interested in doing lots of tests, making lots of money, and treating their patients like cattle. Again, the privacy issues is a concern. Staff members should not speak loudly in the hallway within the hearing capability of other patients waiting. Some may not know what the comments mean but I did. "

Data Transparency and Trust: Understanding WebMD Doctor Listings and Reviews

We know that finding the right doctor or provider is important to your health. That’s why we want to ensure you have confidence in the provider profiles and listings you see on WebMD Care. Our provider data is sourced from the physicians themselves as well as publicly available databases. Any doctor or provider who claims their profile by verifying themselves can update their information and provide additional data on their specialties, education, accepted insurances, conditions they treat, and procedures they perform.

All the physician and provider reviews on WebMD Care are provided by users just like you. Knowing these reviews provide insight into how other patients feel about a doctor, we maintain internal policies and protocols to ensure the quality and accuracy of all reviews. Providers are not able to remove or modify reviews on their own. Reviews can only be removed after an internal review by our customer service team.

We value your input and encourage you to reach out to our support team if you encounter any issues.
