"Dr. Sandlin told me that painful sex is normal for girls my age (21) and sent me home with a prescription for ibuprofen. I was afraid to go back to a doctor for a full year because I didn’t want to feel like I was making up my symptoms again, but when I finally found a new doctor she found endometriosis within a month of my first visit. Felt very unheard and not cared for with Dr. Sandlin. "
