"Dr. Burns was very respectful and courteous during our visit today. He took a little time to go over my records before speaking with me, educated himself on my medical history and was very reassuring. I have met a lot of terrible DRs at this hospital. I was there for a severe migraine and abdominal pain and requesting Prednisone due to my suspicion of Lupus which my mom has. Dr. Burns seems to take his job seriously and didn't send me home feeling like no one cared about my complaints. I was in and out of the hospital in 3 hours with some medicine in my stomach and although I'm now sitting on the toilet with the runs, I now have been pointed In the right direction and I just ate food for the first time in a week without feeling full after one bite. Everyone was asleep in the emergency room or being quiet and respectful. There were not patients screaming and yelling and being held hostage by security guards. For the sake of other patients who seek help at Lowell General I really hope he ...sticks around. "Read more
