"The worst place ever. The wait was almost an hour because he hadn’t gotten to the office on time. While waiting 2 ladies in the office staff were arguing so loud we could hear it in the waiting room. One of the ladies very loudly said F… you to another lady. Finally the dr opened the door to call my name with gloves on and did my tests with those same gloves never explained anything he was doing til he got to the needle part of the nerve test. Oh and the floor and step stool in that room he had me in were really dirty. He had me step up and down on the dirty stool, left the room for me to change still with the same gloves on and put his gloved hands under the hand sanitizer and rubbed them together. He told me my dr would have the test results back Wednesday night the day I was in there and haven’t heard a thing from my dr. "

"This is the worst practice ever (if negative stars were an option, I would go -100*). Let me take you on my journey- It all began with my first seizure at the age of 38. Scared to death, I immediately like anyone in 2021, googled "neurologist near me." Finding this DRs office, setting up an appointment, and getting the preregistration paperwork is where the fun ended. The office staff requested that I arrive 15 mins prior to my appointment. Pretty standard for a first time DR appointment. I did... and I sat.... 30 mins, I asked the lady at reception if she had any idea as to how much longer it would be? She was very kind, but stated she was unsure as the DR was a bit behind. I thanked her and took my seat in the hallway and continued to wait. Another 30 mins pass, and I again approach the window. I then asked the receptionist for a refund on my copay and that I would take my damaged brain to another DR. Another office member came from behind and stated "It should only be a few more minutes, ...
you dont want to leave and have another seizure." As accurate as the second part of that statement was, I am not sure that announcing why I was there in front of a waiting room full of people follows HIPPA guidelines, but I'm no attorney. I agreed to wait 20 more mins and that after that I was leaving and they could just credit my card back or send me a check for my co-pay refund. As I returned to my seat in the hallway, a fellow patient in the waiting room stated "It's always like this here, I've been waiting for 2 hours!" I smiled and assured her that I would not. Eureka! My name is called, and I get to meet the wizard! The DR escorts me back to the exam room. Not the cleanest, nor well lit, actually reminded me of a DR office from a foreign movie. I explained what my issue was, why I was there, etc. The DR as quickly as I got in there, got me out with a sheet of lab requests, MRIs and EEG. He told me exactly where to go to get these done and I was never more excited to get out of there. As I was leaving, the receptionist that announced my seizure issue to the room asked if "I would like to schedule my follow up appointment?" I kind of chuckled and told her "there is no chance I would be coming back to this office." Not to jump to far ahead, but I was wrong... So I leave there with my lab orders in hand, pay the $3 for 2+ hours of parking (5mins max w/DR) and drive home. The next day I schedule everything, it was about a week out. The day before my MRI, I get a call from the radiologist. The call was disheartening. The admin from the radiologist informed me that they would need to cancel my appointment, as they had not received the notes from the DR. It had been a week, since I had been in the DR office, so I was very confused. I called my insurance, who then 3-way called the DR office to get the "codes" needed to perform the MRI. They had no clue what that meant and the DR was on vacation or not in the office, unavailable nonetheless. After some diligent work from BCBS, the MRI was approved and I was on my way. **It should be noted that during this entire process, I had procured another DR at GBMC, requested a medical release of information form and submitted it to Upper Chesapeake.** Fast forward another week after the tests. I call the new DR to confirm that they have received the test results from the original DR... shocker, they had not. I called multiple times, completed not 1 but 2 more release of information forms and guess what? Information still not to the new DR. As of today, 10/13/21 approx 1 month since my initial time with Dr Dholakia, my new DR still does not have the paperwork needed and I may have to go to the office against every will in my body to collect my own medical records to take to the next DR. My advice to anyone who reads this and is trying to make a decision on whether or not to use this practice would be to run. Not walk, but run. Stay away from this hell-hole. There is nothing good that can come of it. G "

"Very good experience and the first Dr that Actually took the time to hear us out and do a thorough evaluation of my daughter. She’s 18 and having issues which were sudden and without cause. I’m very pleased with Dr. Dholakai. He reviewed all her notes carefully and went over things with with us and explained things very well. He made referrals and took his time and we did not feel rushed. We did have to wait a while but he was very knowledgeable and great bedside manner as well I felt better talking to him feeling like he can help us or point us in the right direction. I would definitely recommend! "
