"He is homophobic never returns my phone calls after leaving 3-4 messages over a 6 month span. My own general doctor can’t even get through to him. The man in my views is a jerk and I would not trust my life with him"

"I had internal and external hemorrhoid surgery with Dr. Demasi. Most PAINFUL recovery I've ever had. The worst part, the external hemorrhoids never went away. When I requested Dr. Demasi do my follow up exam, he was extremely irritated that I didn't want to see his assistant and took up his time. He checked for about 5 seconds and said everything was fine and left the room. No explanation as to why I still had and still do have external hemorrhoids."

"This was the most awful experience I’ve ever had with a physician. It was colonoscopy number five for me so I knew what to expect. Dr DiMasi has no bedside manner. I had my procedure at the Port Charlotte ambulatory surgery center and they were running it like a meat factory your next up, next, next.! We could all clearly hear everything going on. when I was laying on my gurney waiting for my turn I heard the nurse calling Monday’s patients. I was just there Friday. And I heard her say no I am sorry your ride will have to wait in the car or come back for you as we don’t have enough chairs in the waiting room because they were destroyed during the hurricane. Are you kidding me you can’t get some chairs in there? that hurricane was back on September 27.! further, the nurse that inserted my IV missed my vein in my hand, leaving a big bruise so she went to an inner forearm vein . I’m still sporting a bruise about the size of a 50 Cent, piece, deep purple I have veins like a junky , no ...
reason to have missed it. As she was making her small talk with me she said, so what are you here for? I said a colonoscopy she said oh have you had polyps in the past? I said yes, but they’ve all been negative. She said well they’re could always be that one. ! Are you kidding me? This is what you say to someone getting ready to go in for a colonoscopy? Furthermore, after the procedure was over, I was asked if I would like a drink of water and someone so generously brought me about a quarter of an inch of warm water in a paper cup. How thoughtful of them! They wanted to get me up and out of that room so they could turn it over and so when they got me up out of the bed, there was blood about a softball size spot of blood on the peri pad. I looked at it and I looked at the nurse and she said oh that happens sometimes. It hadn’t happened in my previous four colonoscopies. I was alarmed! She said she was going to roll me into a conference room but they were all full so she said I’ll just back you up here so here I am in a hallway in this very small facility and Dr. came out. He went into each room to talk to each patient and he stopped at my wheelchair and he looked at me and he said everything was normal and he kept walking. Really everything was normal , I’ve had diverticulosis for years and years and that doesn’t go away so it wasn’t normal. Maybe I didn’t have any polyps, but he didn’t specify that. I’ve called his office twice in order to speak to someone about this. Nobody cared to return a call not even the office manager , you know where I won’t be going for my next colonoscopy and I don’t have a lot of faith I. the fact I was told this one was normal. After my previous colonoscopies at another facility I was sent home with a report complete with pictures. This time I was told I wouldn’t be getting anything when the results are normal ! Really? no report whatsoever! When I pressed the office about it and told her that I have had diverticulosis for years she said well maybe it’s gone now! It doesn’t go away, just very uninformed very uncaring people all the way around I suggest you look elsewhere for your endoscopy needs. This was pure greed and had meat factory written all over it. ! Data Transparency and Trust: Understanding WebMD Doctor Listings and Reviews

We know that finding the right doctor or provider is important to your health. That’s why we want to ensure you have confidence in the provider profiles and listings you see on WebMD Care. Our provider data is sourced from the physicians themselves as well as publicly available databases. Any doctor or provider who claims their profile by verifying themselves can update their information and provide additional data on their specialties, education, accepted insurances, conditions they treat, and procedures they perform.

All the physician and provider reviews on WebMD Care are provided by users just like you. Knowing these reviews provide insight into how other patients feel about a doctor, we maintain internal policies and protocols to ensure the quality and accuracy of all reviews. Providers are not able to remove or modify reviews on their own. Reviews can only be removed after an internal review by our customer service team.

We value your input and encourage you to reach out to our support team if you encounter any issues.
