Robert Shelton Viney, M.D., F.A.C.S is a General and Vascular Surgeon, who received his medical degree from Texas Tech University of Lubbock, Texas in 1977. Dr. Viney is a board certified surgeon through the American Board of Surgery since 1983. Dr. Viney completed his General and Vascular Residency at Scott and White Memorial Hospital in Temple, Texas. Before joining TTUHSC-Permian Basin, he established himself with Midland Surgical Associates, in which he became an owner and managing partner, since 1998. His surgical interest includes Robotic Surgery, Esophageal and Endocrine Surgery and Surgical Oncology. His organizations include Texas Medical Association, American College of Surgeons and Texas Surgical Society to name a few.
