"Steer clear of this clinic and Robert Sterling. I was referred here by a friend after having had 3 back to back missed miscarriages along with a few similar symptoms to endometriosis. Before seeing Sterling I had been tended to at MCRM Fertility Clinic where all exams on myself and my husband were completely normal and no explanation as to my new symptoms. Sterling proceeded to order exams that weren’t covered by my health insurance and to top it off never figured out what is going on. He wanted to start me on the same pills another obgyn had me on and still had another miscarriage, he ended the appointment by stating that he would look over my chart again and call me back. Over a week went by so I decided to call in just to find out that he noted my account with referring me back to the fertility clinic. I called in and insisted on getting an exam to discard the possibility of endometriosis to which I was told I’d be called back after sending the note to Sterling. Never received the call ...
back and a week later I received a letter stating I was no longer a patient of Tulsa Women’s Healthcare or Sterling. He’s a terrible doctor and I wouldn’t recommend wasting your time on him or this clinic. That last consultation was 6/9/23. A month later 7/13/23 I had my first consultation with Dr Rachel Gibbs at Warren Clinic where she ordered a few labs and at my follow up appointment ordered laparoscopic surgery where she found and removed stage 4 endometriosis. Sterling is a joke and I hope any patients still seeing him aren’t being dismissed just as he dismissed me. Months later I began receiving bills that were sent to my insurance as fertility visits even though we discussed recurrent miscarriages at each visit. I called in to the billing manager to where she kept stating she couldn’t change the diagnosis code because that is illegal. I walked in to the office with my insurance company on speaker with the rep stating it is Not illegal as long as the visit notes state my recurrent miscarriages and other issues. The notes did state RPL but at that time the billing manager stated she flat out would not update the diagnosis code for billing because I was no longer a patient. I sat down in the waiting area waiting for prints of my notes when Sterling came up close to me (still sitting down without saying anything to anyone else) and began yelling at me to leave the office. I asked 3x if he had the notes in his hands and he kept yelling. Then he got closer to me at which point my husband stood up from the chair and Sterling yelled at him to sit back down. My husband didn’t say a word but refused to sit down until Sterling walked away. Sterling was within 1 foot of me yelling in my face. This is the worst experience I’ve ever had with a supposed doctor and clinic. "
