"Like another reviewer here, I also have a degree in psychology, but you don’t need that to see that this doctor has some personal barriers related to ego that seem to prevent him from being a proficient provider. I had to wait & fight for 13 months to get him to explain the results to me, he said his diagnosis was bipolar, I asked him where my report said that (was an autism assessment.) He kept insisting I had been diagnosed with bipolar, & would not listen when I said I hadn’t, & it had been ruled out with 30 years of psychiatric treatment & medication trials. When I pointed out the part of HIS summary that said, “I’m (Dr Roth) not overly suspicious of bipolar disorder,” he tried to gaslight me by saying he hadn’t just said I had bipolar, despite having just told me that I did, why he thought that (said he assessed it & I was manic because I was emotional. He then ended the appointment half a hour early without addressing any of my questions, but I bet he’ll bill for it, & probably think ...
he actually deserves to. This guy can’t even differentiate between a normal healthy reaction to someone breaking trust & professionalism with a patient, & bipolar disorder. I doubt it will improve bc he’s probably still caught up in my first sentence where I mentioned his ego. I wish I had listened to word of mouth about him in the autistic & Special Ed communities. I thought it would be worth it to get something on paper, but Dr. Roth isn’t a harmless baffoon, he obviously has a pattern of lack of awareness about the needs of people who come to him for help, & will not or cannot prevent himself from continuing to cause harm. He needs to watch that Golden Girls episode where Dorothy told off her Dr in the restaurant, but like that Dr didn’t listen until his wife made him, I imagine the lack of self awareness would just have him blow someone off as being mentally ill with whatever diagnosis he pulls out of his youknowwhat. No wonder he has to work alone in private practice, & other drs hesitate to send people to him. With telehealth options available, I highly encourage anyone seeking competent care to look elsewhere. "

"MY CHILD WAS ON THE WAITING LIST FOR 9 MONTHS BEFORE EVEN AN APPOINTMENT WITH DR ROTH COULD BE MADE, I WAS REFERRED BY NY CHILDS SCHOOL AFTER ALL TESTING AVAILABLE THROUGH THE SCHOOL HAD BEEN COMPLETED ON MY CHILD AND THEN WHEN THE APPOINTMENT DAY FINALLY ARRIVED I HAD TO WAIT 4 HOURS WHILE NY CHILD WAS BEING TESTED AND WAITED WITH MY MOTHER IN LAW NEVER EVEN SEEN DR ROTH LET ALONE MEET AND I WATCHED SIX. WEEKS BEFORE CALLING AND DEMANDING MY CHILDS REPORTS AND DOCTORS DIAGNOSIS AND THEN HAD TO WAIT ANOTHER TWO WKS TO RECEIVE THE RESULTS BY MAIL BY THE WAY WHICH TOLD ME DR ROTH COULDN’T PROVIDE ANY TYPE OF DIAGNOSIS OR ANYTHING WHATSOEVER BECAUSE I FAILED TO PROVIDE THEM WITH ANY PREVIOUS TESTING INFORMATION WHEN AS I SAID THE SCHOOL REFERRED ME AND SENT DR ROTH FIVE YEARS OF TESTING THEY’D DONE WITH MY CHILD DIRECTLY AND WHAT KIND OF TESTING WAS DONE WITH MY CHILD FOR THISE FOUR HOURS "

"HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!! I have a degree in psychology and have spent a lot of time in therapy, so I usually know what to expect at these kind of appointments. I was wrong. I wasn't taken seriously, I wasn't seen/heard, I was stuck with $900 bill b/c of an error on their part with insurance, I went through 7 hours of testing without a break, and after all that wasn't given any helpful results. I assumed it was my fault somehow, so I moved on. Now that I see these comments...i'm sorry I didn't post this sooner!! Please don't waste your time/money, there are other options online! I have since been diagnosed with ADHD, and have finally after 5 years of feeling like it was my fault, am making an appointment to right the wrong that was done at Roth Neuropsychology"

"Please seek help elsewhere. After waiting over 5 months for my evaluation (and my condition being confirmed and treated by multiple tests and appointments with my neurologist during this time...in 3 months), what I received is negligent and totally discredits the results that I received. I never met Dr. Roth (someone else did the actual evaluation) through any of this, but he got paid for doing my evaluation. My "history" that they have listed on the report is a joke. I'm not sure who they were describing, but it sure wasn't me. I do not have any children, yet it is listed that I have TWO... along with many other discrepancies. My position with the State of TN requires my staff and I to regularly make referrals for psychological evaluations for our clients... I would be embarrassed and ashamed to send anyone to Dr. Roth. "

"I still haven’t heard of my results of my child and his testing was over 6 months ago. They billed my insurance $1,008.00 6 months ago though. I would advise anyone that is thinking about taking your child here go somewhere else. They must not care about how they treat families with learning disabilities. "
