Robert N. Mixon DMD, PA
Dentistry is actually a second career for Dr. Mixon. Born into a family with a long tradition of naval service, he entered the Navy following graduation from the University of Florida as a back-seater in the F-14 Tomcat. This first career gave him a lifelong love for flying and for travel but most importantly led directly to his becoming a pediatric dentist. ‘I made friends with the dentists onboard the ship and fell in love with what they do.’
Returning to the University of Florida, College of Dentistry, Dr Mixon graduated with honors in 1995. He was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honors Fraternity. He completed a one year general practice residence at the VA Hospital and then completed the two year pediatric dentistry residency at the University of Florida in 1998. Dr. Mixon enjoys spending time with his wife, Becky and their two children, Sarah and Collin. Together they like to travel, workout and of course go to Gator games.

Data Transparency and Trust: Understanding WebMD Doctor Listings and Reviews
We know that finding the right doctor or provider is important to your health. That’s why we want to ensure you have confidence in the provider profiles and listings you see on WebMD Care. Our provider data is sourced from the physicians themselves as well as publicly available databases. Any doctor or provider who claims their profile by verifying themselves can update their information and provide additional data on their specialties, education, accepted insurances, conditions they treat, and procedures they perform.
All the physician and provider reviews on WebMD Care are provided by users just like you. Knowing these reviews provide insight into how other patients feel about a doctor, we maintain internal policies and protocols to ensure the quality and accuracy of all reviews. Providers are not able to remove or modify reviews on their own. Reviews can only be removed after an internal review by our customer service team.
We value your input and encourage you to reach out to our support team if you encounter any issues.
