Dr. Robert James Blok , DO
OVERVIEW
Robert Blok, DO, FAOAO is an Orthopedic Spine Surgeon at Optum Spine. He is board-certified along with receiving the honor of being a fellow of the American Osteopathic Association of Orthopedics.
A combined Orthopedic and Neurosurgical spine fellowship was completed in Louisville, Kentucky after which he served several active duty tours with the United States Army.
As an early adapter of minimally invasive spine surgery, he sought out further training in Germany and the Netherlands focusing on tissue sparing minimally invasive spinal procedures and has over two decades of experience.
His passion for these techniques has led him to train numerous surgeons around the world along with mentoring other surgeons in the art of minimally invasive spine surgery.
As a proponent of holistic treatment, Dr. Blok believes patients should allow the body the opportunity to heal through natural means.
However, when this is ineffective, he recommends the advantages of minimally invasive spine surgery to address the conditions of the spine.
At American Health Network (AHN), we want to be the best health care organization we can be. Our mission is to improve our patients’ health.
