"I never do this, but right now I really want to share the horrible experience that I had with Dr. Richard Guthrie DDS from Mission Ranch Dental Aestetics (Ladera Ranch). I’m still shaking and in shock. Back in August he did my crown, and I didn’t like how he treats patients even back then. Let alone that he never even introduced himself, no “Hi”, no “Bye”, didn’t explain anything he was doing so I had to guess. He hurt me when numbing me a lot, then he didn’t wait until the anestetic works and started to work on my tooth right away. When I twitched because of pain, he was like “What are you doing?! This machine is very delicate, it’s unsafe if you move”. No apologizing, nothing. Very unpleasant experience with rude doctor who was snobbing me and mistreating. It never ever happened to me before. But the most horrible thing happened today. Part of my crown chipped off after only 4 months, I wasn’t biting on it etc., was very cautious. So doctor proved himself to be not a good professional ...

I came to him in hopes that he will stand behind his work, takes responsibility and fixes the problem free of charge, but he said that I need a new crown, that he’s not going to do it for free because he thinks he did an excellent job; also he said that I’m rude and unpleasant person (!!), and I’m a liar for saying that it’s him who us rude. When I told him that I’ll be all over social media making sure people know how he mistreats patients, and if his reputation is valuable to him, he needs to make it right, he threatened that he’ll sue me!! I can’t believe that doctor can be such a jerk, it never ever happened with me before, I have multiple crowns and they are all fine; all other dentists always told me that if something happens with the crown within 5 years, they will fix it free of charge. Bottom line - my recommendation: if you are looking for good professional who takes responsibility and treats his patients well, don’t go to Dr. Guthrie "
