Richard D. King, M.D., Ph.D., recently joined the University of Utah as Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurology and Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Bioengineering. Dr. King is a member of the Center for Alzheimer's Care, Imaging and Research (CACIR), where he serves as Director of the Alzheimer's Image Analysis Laboratory. Dr. King sees patients in the University of Utah Cognitive Disorders Clinic, which focuses on early diagnosis and interventions for those suffering from Alzheimer's disease and related memory disorders.
Dr. King's current research focus is the use of advanced neuroimaging analysis tools to study morphometric changes in the brain associated with neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's.
