Dr. Richa Dawar is a triple board certified physician in Internal Medicine, Hematology and Oncology who's a firm believer in compassionate and comprehensive care for her patients. She completed her Internal Medicine residency from State University of New York at Buffalo, and Hematology/Oncology fellowship from University of Miami where she proudly also served as Chief Fellow. Dr. Dawar has excelled in academics with honors throughout her life and set exemplary standards for patient care.Dr. Dawar specializes in cancers of Lung and Breast, and fondly devotes her time towards strengthening her expertise and acquiring the knowledge in latest treatment modalities, drugs and research. She has authored several research articles in eminent medical journals and is avidly involved in clinical trials. She likes giving to the community by volunteering in cancer support groups to spread awareness while putting patient's apprehensions at ease.Dr Dawar believes her strengths are her clinical acumen from an intense training; broad knowledge; being approachable and an ability to calm one's nerves by communicating in simplistic words. For her, the biggest source of inspirations have been her patient's valor and courage. At her leisure, she spends time with her family outdoors and loves to cook, mostly with recipes given by her patients.
