OVERVIEW
Dr. Rashmi Verma is a neuro-ophthalmologist, treating adults and children with vision impairments related to neurological problems. She sees patients with a variety of diagnoses: idiopathic intracranial hypertension (IIH), myasthenia gravis, post-stroke visual field deficits, ischemic optic neuropathies, and cranial nerve palsies.
Her research interests include medical and surgical management of IIH in children and adults, as well as treatment of disease processes for post-stroke visual field deficits, myasthenia gravis and cranial nerve palsies.
Dr. Verma is an assistant professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at Saint Louis University School of Medicine.She is actively involved in community service and enjoys giving public lectures, as well as virtual physician lectures. She is also a reviewer for numerous medical journals, including Journal of Neuro-Ophthalmology and Neuro-Ophthalmology.
