" I have been a patient of perez for over 6 years. I have seen him for care about 3-4 times. I just went to him this August 2020 because I know my eyesight has gotten much worst, which is what I told him at my visit. I do the eye exam to determine my new RX. I chose new frames for my new RX. After picking them up and wearing them a few days I notice that I am still seeing blurry. I go back to him so he can fix the problem. He bends the frames and home I go. They are now tight on my face, falling crooked and I am still seeing blurry. I go back and he bends the frames again. I am frustrated because not once does he consider checking the RX of the new eyeglasses until I asked him to. He comes back to tell me there is only a slight difference between my new and old eyeglasses. I go home totally unsatisfied. I know it's the lens not the frames. He mentions adjustment time (it has been already 3 weeks.) He says it could be my brain or my ears. This is not the first time I use progressive eyeglasses. ...
I chose to go to another eye center to double check my eyes. I never told them I had a problem with perez whom I did trust. I asked them if they would do me the favor and check both my eyeglasses (new and old) and let me know what the RX is for both. It was confirmed what I felt in my gut all along. They both are the same exact RX. So of course I am fuming. My husband calls perez office because I am so upset and feel I have every right to ask for my money back. Not once was I asked by perez about my health. They made the error of putting my old RX in my new eyeglasses. They won't admit to this and are refusing to refund me. If when returning the first time they would have checked to see if the glasses were filled correctly or ask me about my health, the outcome may have been different. This was offered over the phone towards the end when they heard I was infuriated. Concern was mentioned for my health after my husband tells them I have a heart problem and I am a diabetic. There was no concern when I first went to him. This has affected me so intensely I cannot accept their only offer, which is to now recheck my eyes and get the right RX. I never had a problem with him before but the way this all has been handled has been extremely disappointing. I have lost faith in him and I lost the trust. They say there is concern for my health but all I heard was their concern for the health of their pockets! How unfortunate that with healthcare there is such injustice. My new eyeglasses are now useless and the health of my pocket is now diminished. "
