"Terrible bedside manner, all the nurses there would warn you of it. Just like many Indian doctors, he was hard to understand and communicate with. He wouldn't understand what I was saying and I couldn't understand what he was saying most of the time so communication with him was difficult. Also he made the decision to take our 28 week premature daughter off oxygen completely after the second day in the NICU only for her to be put right back on it the next day. But she was on no oxygen for 24 hours. I wouldn't advise to let him do this anymore with any of his patients. Even the respiratory therapist there told me he shouldn't have done that. It angers me when doctors think they can treat patients like they are part of some sort of "study". That's how he made me feel with our daughter. He didn't care for her with compassion like he would if she were his own daughter. Well our daughter ended up being diagnosed with a grade 4 IVH several weeks later. We can't say with 100% certainty that Dr. ...
Meibalane caused this when he had our daughter off all oxygen for 24 hours bc no one not even the other doctors there knew what caused the brain bleed for sure (it could have been a number of different things) but we can say its certainly a possibility. There are studies out there that have been conducted that show hypoxia within the first several days to a week can cause an IVH in premature babies and it can also cause ROP, which our daughter also had. Her ROP has been managed for now with laser eye surgery but the effects of her grade 4 IVH have led her to a diagnosis of mild cerebral palsy and at a risk for seizures. This doctor just needs to retire already honestly. Deaconess would be much better without him. "

Data Transparency and Trust: Understanding WebMD Doctor Listings and Reviews

We know that finding the right doctor or provider is important to your health. That’s why we want to ensure you have confidence in the provider profiles and listings you see on WebMD Care. Our provider data is sourced from the physicians themselves as well as publicly available databases. Any doctor or provider who claims their profile by verifying themselves can update their information and provide additional data on their specialties, education, accepted insurances, conditions they treat, and procedures they perform.

All the physician and provider reviews on WebMD Care are provided by users just like you. Knowing these reviews provide insight into how other patients feel about a doctor, we maintain internal policies and protocols to ensure the quality and accuracy of all reviews. Providers are not able to remove or modify reviews on their own. Reviews can only be removed after an internal review by our customer service team.

We value your input and encourage you to reach out to our support team if you encounter any issues.
