I grew up in Arizona and then attended Stanford University. While at Stanford, I completed an honors thesis examining how patients use the Internet to improve their own medical care. Following graduation, I moved to Southern California to complete my medical school and residency at UC San Diego. I then moved to Seattle to complete my cardiology fellowship training at the University of Washington and serve as chief cardiology fellow. Following completion of my training, I continued my "tour of the West" and joined the faculty here at Kaiser Permanente. I have completed research in a variety of areas and my findings have been published in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology.
