Welcome to My Home Page! Thank you for visiting. I was born and raised in Pakistan. I came to the United States for post-graduate training after medical school in 1996. I did my general surgery training at Yale. I then went on to do a Colon and Rectal Surgery fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. I was in private practice in Indiana for three years before I joined Kaiser Permanente in 2008. I have a special interest in colon and rectal diseases like cancer, diverticulitis, inflammatory bowel disease and incontinence. I am a member of American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, American College of Surgeons, Society of Laparoscopic Surgeons, and the Yale Surgical Society.

"Dr. Hashim has been my surgeon for several surgeries in dealing with colorectal cancer, Stage 3. She has been excellent throughout my ordeal and has treated me with compassion, and has always conveyed a 'can-do' attitude, encouraging me in my treatment and answering any questions I've had clearly and concisely. She is quick to respond and thorough in that response. I have appreciated her expertise and willingness to explain things to me in a manner I can understand. I highly recommend her if you are dealing with colon cancer at Kaiser Permanente in the Bay Area."
